How to change a headlight?
The headlight burned out on the driver's side of my '96 Toyota Corolla. Does anyone know how to change it? Does the battery need to be removed? We tried removing a couple of screws to detach the lamp from the car, but that didn't work. It looks like there may be a couple of bolts that require a wrench to remove them - do those need to be taken off? This is quite frustrating! Help!

go to autozone they will change it free of charge.
How to change a headlight?
You don't have to change the headlight, reach inside the
hood, and just change the %26quot;bulb.%26quot; unless the headlight itself
is broken.
If you need the whole headlight changed. Let a specialist do
it, because, it has to be %26quot;alligned properly.%26quot; As not to shine in
the other drivers %26quot;eyes.%26quot; It is a safety issue.%26quot; %26lt;}:-})
shouldnt be that hard surely ? most headlights bulbs just twist and pull (in a plastic unit) from the back of the headlight ???
Usually the lamps stay intact, and the lights pull inward. Look for the wire from under the hood, and see if there's something you can do to pull whatever the wire hooks up to out of the headlight and into the under the hood area.
I don't Know that's a hard Question
You should be able to change the bulb without having to remove the whole headlight unit.
There should be a round rubber seal at the back or plastic cover
Once these are removed you should be able to see the bulb and retaining clip.
And there is no need to disconnect the battery while you do it.
If you still have your owner's manual, it's definitely in there. (Very funny, a couple weeks ago, we changed the headlight to my boyfriend's -- surprise -- '96 Toyota Corolla, and we used the manual.) Unfortunately, I can't remember all the details, but I'll tell you what I do recall.
The right (passenger side) headlight is very easy to change. You just have to unhook the cable/wire leading to the headlight, twist the bulb to unlock it, pull it out, put the other one in, twist to secure, rehook the cable, and you're set. The left (driver side) one, however, requires you to take out a part -- air filter, perhaps. It's not difficult, just requires more work. If the bolts you're referring to are on the inside of the front of the car, no, you don't have to unscrew them.

How do i change the headlight in a 1998 mercedes c280?
i know the assembly is removed from the rear of the headlight housing. Do i remove the air filter intake or remove the headlight housing? If either, how?
Thanks.
How do i change the headlight in a 1998 mercedes c280?
it can be done without removing anything...it's just a pain....if you choose to remove one of the two,go for the air filter housing....it's allot easier....do not mess with the head light assembly, they are a little tricky and you could scratch the car....
How do i change the headlight in a 1998 mercedes c280?
It really depends on the size of your hands. If you have smaller hands, getting in and accessing the bulb is relatively easy compared to if you have larger hands. Yes, you can remove the air filter intake and the top of the air filter housing if that makes it easier for you but it may not be necessary.
As noted above, do not remove the entire housing. The back of the housing is plastic and if anything breaks, you have to buy a complete assembly as the housing only is not available separately.
Thanks.

How do i change a headlight bulb on a 2000 Honda Civic?
Remove the casing at the back of the headlight.Usually there are clamps to hold the casing.
Disconnect the wires. remove the bulb n fit the new one in its place.connect the wires .
ON the headlights n see if the projection is OK. if not adjust it a little until to have the satisfactory beam.
Do not touch the glass portion of the new bulb.
Need to gain access to back. Twist ring and remove bulb. Just be sure to wipe with alcohol to remove fingerprints from bulb or will not last. If any doubt, Take to Auto Zone or a Kragen and they will show you for free.

Change Headlight bulbs for Honda Civic?
if the battery is in the way remove it or intake hardware-remove them first
Change Headlight bulbs for Honda Civic?
lol my brother in law had the same problem with his 99 Si...he had to have to get them out cuz i have tiny hands. is it driver side or passenger side cuz technically the driver side is the left hand side and thats the one we had the most trouble with. u just gotta try and move crap outta the way like the intake if its the passenger one and its a stock intake or you could try using needle nose pliers or any other pliers that would probably be easiest.
try this hope it helps
