Change Headlight bulbs for Honda Civic?
lol my brother in law had the same problem with his 99 Si...he had to have to get them out cuz i have tiny hands. is it driver side or passenger side cuz technically the driver side is the left hand side and thats the one we had the most trouble with. u just gotta try and move crap outta the way like the intake if its the passenger one and its a stock intake or you could try using needle nose pliers or any other pliers that would probably be easiest.
try this hope it helps

How to change a headlight?

I need to change my headlight bulb on my 1999 Oldsmobile Alero. I got the bulb but it didn't come with instructions. So if anyone can help that would be great. Thanks everyone.
How to change a headlight?
The bulb you picked up should be a 9006, This bulb is changed from under the hood. Go to the side that is burned out and unplug the three wire connector, you will have to push back a lock tab to do this. Then unscrew the ring that holds the bulb into the composite headlamp assembly. Don't touch the glass of the new bulb, If you do, clean it with a aolchol wipe. Push your new bulb in (It will only go in one way) screw on the ring and reconnect the wires

check the owners manual. if you dont have one lift up the hood and look behind the headlight you should see where the plug is going into the housing. Normally it take just a little turn and it will pop out. then change the bulb, put light back in the housing and close hood. all done
Open hood and dislocate the plastic cover over the headlamp. Then pry the lock tab on the electrical connector up a little, but don't break it. Then unscrew the holder or depress and rotate the holder depending on what type you have and the bulb just pops out.

How do I change the headlight bulbs on a 2005 scion tc?

I tried googling and could only find a diy involving removing the entire headlamp so that didn't help. I just need to change the bulbs
How do I change the headlight bulbs on a 2005 scion tc?
I'm not certain about your model, but most newer cars have headlamp access by opening the hood and reaching in behind the headlight housing. DO NOT touch the replacement bulb with your bare fingers. The oil on your skin will make it overheat and burn out prematurely.

Have a look in Chilton's Auto Repair manual at the public library if you want to get the whole story with pictures. Xerox what you need to take home.
Just remove the plastinc wing nuts on the back of the light for access....

you have to pull really hard......
How do I change the Headlight on my '03 Lancer?
there is a clip on the harness that is clipped on the bulb, that needs to be lifted up, then pull apart...
You just gotta pull really hard, they are made so they hang in there during drive.
i've just changed the bulbs for my friend's 03 lancer yesterday. Just forget about what the owner's manual says. the book doesn't tell the exact instructions(I threw mine out, I also own a 03 lancer)you have to do it yourself. Now, stick your hand in there. there's a clip that is connected to headlight, unclip it from the headlight. twist(don't pull it hard like what others are telling you) the piece that holds the bulb to the left and you'll feel the click and pull it out. this should take you about 5 minutes to complete the job.Hope this helps.

Why would I have to change the headlight in my car so often?

It's been 8 times in the past 18 months.....I drive a 1999 Honda Civic. Is this normal or could there be something wrong?
Why would I have to change the headlight in my car so often?
If you touch a halogen bulb and get oil or grease on it, it won't last very long. Instead, hold it with a dry rag or newspaper.
Why would I have to change the headlight in my car so often?
Not sure about your car but my camaro, would switch headlights, i would put one in and the other one would blow and this continued until i found out when you replace head lights make sure you disconnect the battery.I dont know if this will help you but its worth a try.
Had the same problem on my Corolla. Not sure was it was but a couple of things to consider. Wear a latex glove so that your skin doesn't touch the bulb. Skin oil can diffuse through the quartz into the bulb and oxidize the filament causing it to burn out. Also, the light should be clean and dry. If there is a leak moisture could be getting into the light. Another problem may be a bad connection causing the bulb to see higher than normal voltage and burn out early. This needs an electrical check by a good auto electrician.
Sounds to me like you have an electrically system problem. My 1999 Nissan Sentra was doing the same thing plus my headlights would randomly shut off while I was driving! Anyway go to a mechanic that you can really trust and have them check your electrically system. All they do is plug some machine into your car and it pin points what the problem is. Good luck!
CHECK THE WIRES FOR GROUNDING POINTS(BARE WIRES TOUCHING THE FRAME OR BODY) I HAVE ALWAYS FOUND THAT REPLACING BOTH HEADLIGHTS AT THE SAME TIME HELPS. I WOULD PUT MY MONEY ON A GROUNDING ISSUE

How do I change the headlight Bulb on my Infiniti M35?

Thank you for looking. I own a 2006 Infiniti M35, and am looking to change the HID Bulb. I read the owners manual, but it states to take it to the dealer, which I refuse to do for a simple bulb change. Does anyone know how exactly to do it? Thanks a lot

Bring it to the dealer. Screw it up and it's going to cost you a bundle.
How do I change the headlight Bulb on my Infiniti M35?
always listen to the owners manual they are always right.
    you can try here...

    http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/M/

go to your year and then click on the lt.pdf file... its about a 10mb file so i would suggest downloading it first... then click on the + next to the hid part and you should see how to change the bulb
Take the wheel off the side with the burnt out bulb. Next pull the 6 plastic rivets out of the front fender well shield. Take the screw out of the shield above the 3 rivets along the inside of the fender edge, Pull the shield back starting at the top where it's tucked under the back portion of the liner shield. Unscrew the top plastic cover, twist the connector counter clockwise and pull it off the bulb. Then unclip the bulb and pull the bulb out noting the groove position for reinstalling the new bulb in the housing.

There is nothing simple about your bulb change. The dealer price of the bulb is around $245.00.

Don't break the new bulb trying to guess when it's seated properly!
Go to the dealer, ask about the service. Make friends with a technician that will do it on the side, or get a referral for an infiniti tech from another owner. It will save you 50% or more of the dealer cost and you don't run the risk of doing it wrong.
