Does one need to unplug module (how) before changing headlight on Altima 2003?

do you have to unplug light module (how) for high voltage before changing bulb in a 2003 Altima|||No.|||thank you. if the light is out how would i know i its just the bulb or thelight module? how do i test the light module?
